we passed 'early twenties'.

I haven't talked about the best part of these past couple of weeks....

Our birthdays!!! Ok- so Disney was technically our big present, but now you get to hear about the days.

It's crazy having both of our days of birth in the same month. And the same year! So Tommy gets to be OLD for exactly 12 days. And then we are both not "old", just getting a little closer. :)

(AND we technically began dating on October 31st....Halloween brought us together. Must've been sugar highs or something. AND October 22nd is our 5 month-iversary. So. Lots to celebrate.)

But back to the important parts.

For Tommy's birthday, he got to wake up in a Disney resort! We then toured around downtown Disney and got to eat at T-Rex, which is like the Rainforest Cafe, but pre-historic. So instead of a rainstorm every half-hour, there is a meteor shower and the dinosaurs go crazy. He wouldn't let me tell them it was his birthday! I wish we could've had them sing.

So while we were driving back, I texted Kim and Jon and asked them to come to our apartment for a little celebration. I convinced him to head the driving range to hit a bunch of golf balls while I got prepared! I bought ballons, cake fixin's, party hats, and a bunch of candy. With cupcakes cooling, I took him out to 'Rolls and Bowls', this modern chinese place that Tommy loves. We just happened to be wearing Alabama colors :). When we got home, I had him go upstairs to our loft so I could get the place decked out. I replaced the food pictures in our "dining room" with three Alabama football magazines his mom had framed. Cupcakes, party hats, and balloons, all in Alabama colors, covered that corner of our apartment. Jon and Kim, in their Bama attire, came over for confetti cake and sprinkled icing, tape-the-tail-on-the-donkey, and Phase 10! He got a bag of candy and gum from me, and he was officially 26.

For mine, Tommy woke up at 5:30 in the morning, before I was up, and decorated for me! We had been using the air mattress in the loft because our mattress was killing my back. So somehow, without waking me up, he blew up a ton of 'happy birthday' balloons and hung a HUGE 'happy birthday' banner and a 'happy birthday' chandelier. So sweet! Then, I went to work... BLAH.

After work, Kim brought Jon and Tommy to my office, so they all got to see my little room where I try to be productive. Not impressive, but at least they cared!! Then Tommy and I went to the mall to buy shoes, thanks to a gift of money from the parents! And then he took me to Carrabbas. OH the GOODNESS. I love that place. The chicken bryan is to die for.

Then Tommy surprised me again by getting an ice cream cake from Haagen Dazs that said "Happy Birthday Mallory" (we laughed because it looked like a four-year-old boy wrote it. but that doesn't make it taste any worse!!!) and had a princess crown all ready for me. Jon and Kim came over and brought me a whole bag of cokes! And again, we played Phase 10. So fun.

26 = Pretty dang good.
