friendly.

I have to tell you how God is blessing us here!

When Tommy interviewed at the hospital here in Gainesville, he went completely relaxed. He was so relaxed because he never really wanted to come here in the first place. He didn't feel any pull when first meeting the representatives and, though he did not list as a choice, still was selected to interview with them. When they asked him to visit for an on-site interview, he filled out the required questionnaire the night before without much thought.

He didn't have much to say other than he met another interviewer that he really liked from Colorado.

We were so surprised when they offered Tommy the job soon after, and also offered for the kid from Colorado the other position! That day, after praying and calling all our families to pray, Tommy accepted!

So, here we are!

I asked Tommy about Jon, the guy from Colorado, he said he only knew that he was a nice and easy to talk to, and his favorite quotes on Facebook were all Bible verses. That was encouraging, but a lot of "Christians" like to quote things that haven't changed their lives... so we didn't get our hopes up!

So the second night in Gainesville (after our moving help had left!) we met Jon and his wife, Kim, for dinner. We had our food, sat down, and awkwardly looked around- and Jon offered to bless the food! It was like... ahhhhh we're all on the same page!! So good. We found out they had met at a Campus Crusade for Christ trip and are strong in their Walks. It was just so encouraging. We knew nothing about each other, but being adopted kids of the King, we were already family! -warm fuzzies-

The best part was that Tommy and I had talked about wanting to minister somehow to the college kids here in town. And Kim brought that up at dinner! The very first time we met, and she said everything we were thinking. We just have to be faithful to make it happen!
